My Idea for a Bitch Ass BC Film Industry Rally

Clearly this government doesn’t get what is happening. If we don’t see any movement in the next month here is what I suggest. A huge rally to be held during the Gala Event of the Times of India Awards in Vancouver April 4-6.

It must be huge. All trailers and trucks and generators and catering trucks, all people in the Industry and their families, all people who benefit from the Industry – and their families – restaurants, suppliers, grocery stores, clothing stores etc etc. All the people who simply do not want to see the is province lose this Industry – and their families.

We organize them all – we have time. Then we have the biggest rally this city has ever seen. Christy Clark will be in attendance that night. Maybe she will hear us then.

Let me hear you RT and post if you agree… and stay tuned…

I am in for that but we don’t want to be a flash in the pan . Protests work but we also want the support of the general public. I had suggested an idea similar to this a few days ago but just driving around town with banners and horns. Something is going on out there there must be another reason why the film industry is being ignored

  5. I posted this on twitter (to @wecreatebc, @MPPIA, @Garin Josey and @Wayne Bennett) with a limited and guarded response.
“if Libs won’t listen & incoming gov is initially handcuffed do we need another rally at the T of I awards?”
Then I read your Twitter post a few hours later. Nice that you are of the same mindset. I notice UBCP/ACTRA and the NDP have not commented either. We can also gather on various bridges with banners during rush hour also. Every morning until the election. Just two people and a banner.
